Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke with Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana recipients during a program held at Lucknow Lok Bhavan on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, during which he also announced an increase in the program’s funding.

The Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2023 has six categories

Category 1: Newborn girls in Uttar Pradesh born on or after April 1, 2019, will receive financial support of Rs 2000.

Category 2: Following this, the girl will receive Rs 1000 if she has had her vaccinations within a year and was not born before April 1, 2018.

Category 3 consists of the girl admitted to class 1 in the current academic year; the government is providing her with Rs 2000.

Category 4: A reward of Rs 2000 will be given to the girl who enrolled in class 6 during the current academic session.

Category 5: Girls admitted to class 9 during the current academic year will fall into this category and receive a payment of Rs 3000.

Category 6: After graduating from 10th or 12th grade, ladies who have chosen to enroll in a degree program or at least a diploma program will receive financial aid of Rs 5000.
