Primary School Teacher (Class 1-5): BPSC Bihar Primary School Teacher Eligibility 2024

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
• Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE Norms 2002), or
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.L.Ed Course, or
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special), or
• Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• CTET/BTET Paper I Exam Passed

Middle School Teacher (Class 6-8): BPSC Bihar Middle School Teacher Eligibility 2024

• Bachelor’s Degree with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
• Bachelor/Master’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed, or
• Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks and B.Ed (NCTE Norms), or
• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and BA BED and B.Sc Ed, or
• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed Special, or
• Master’s Degree with 55% marks and 3-year B.Ed – M.Ed Course

TGT Teacher (Class 9-10): BPSC Bihar TGT School Teacher Eligibility 2024

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in the related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed degree, or
• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in the related subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 Norms) and B.Ed degree, or
• 4-year Degree in BAEd/BScEd
• STET Paper I Exam Passed

TGT Teacher (Class 9-10 – Special): BPSC Bihar TGT Special School Teacher Eligibility 2024

• Same qualifications as TGT Teacher
• STET Paper I Exam Passed

PGT Teacher (Class 11-12): BPSC Bihar PGT School Teacher Eligibility 2024

• Master’s Degree in the related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed degree, or
• Master’s Degree in the related subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 Norms) and B.Ed degree, or
• Master’s Degree in the related subject with a 4-year degree in BAEd/BScEd, or
• Master’s Degree with 55% marks and B.Ed – M.Ed 3-year degree
• STET Paper II Exam Passed

• Candidates appearing for Bihar STET/CTET are not able to apply.
• When applying, use your BSEB Unique ID number instead of Bihar STET 2023 Result Card Number.
• CTET candidates should input the serial number from their certificate/mark sheet.
• There’s no need to send the application form to BPSC.

1. Form Filling: Filling the Application form first.

2. Screening of Applications:
   • Once the application submission deadline is over, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) screens all received applications.
   • The screening process ensures that applicants meet the eligibility criteria specified in the recruitment notification.
   • Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria or are incomplete are usually rejected at this stage.
   • Only eligible candidates proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
3. Written Examination:
   • Eligible candidates are invited to appear for a written examination conducted by the BPSC.
   • The written exam usually consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) or descriptive type questions, depending on the nature of the position.
   • The exam assesses the candidate’s knowledge, aptitude, and skills relevant to the position applied for.
   • The syllabus and exam pattern are provided in the recruitment notification for candidates to prepare accordingly.
4. Evaluation of Written Exam:
   • After the written examination is conducted, the answer sheets or responses of candidates are evaluated.
   • Trained evaluators assess the answers provided by candidates and assign marks according to the marking scheme specified for the exam.
   • The evaluation process ensures fairness and accuracy in assessing the performance of candidates.
5. Merit List Preparation:
   • Once the evaluation of written exam papers is completed, a merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained by candidates.
   • Candidates are usually ranked in descending order of their marks, with the highest scorer placed at the top of the list.
   • The merit list serves as a reference for shortlisting candidates for the next stage of the selection process.
6. Document Verification:
   • Shortlisted candidates from the merit list are called for document verification.
   • During document verification, candidates are required to present original copies of their educational certificates, identity proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents.
   • The purpose of document verification is to authenticate the information provided by candidates in their application forms.
7. Final Selection:
   • Based on the merit list and successful document verification, the final selection of candidates is made.
   • Candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria, perform well in the written exam, and clear the document verification stage are considered for final selection.
   • The final list of selected candidates is prepared and published by the BPSC.

These steps ensure a transparent and fair selection process for recruiting qualified candidates for the advertised positions.
