Selection Process for DSSSB Junior Assistant, LDC & Other Post Exam 2024 Recruitment
Selection Process:
The selection will be made on the basis of overall performance in Online Examination
Examination Scheme – Tier-I (I Tier – General):
DSSSB will conduct a One Tier Examination for the posts of LOWER DIVISION CLERK, JUNIOR ASSISTANT, STENOGRAPHER GRADE-II, JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER (HINDI/ENGLISH), LOWER DIVISION CLERK-CUM-TYPIST, JR. STENOGRAPHER, STENOGRAPHER & ASSTT. GRADE – I. The Tier-I (I Tier – General) Examination Scheme is as follows:

- Exam Duration: 2 Hours
- Total Questions (MCQs): 200
- Total Marks (MCQs): 200
- Total Marks (Description): N.A.
- Grand Total: 200
- Syllabus:
- Section – A:
- General Awareness: 35 Marks
- Mental Ability & Reasoning: 35 Marks
- Numerical Ability & Data Interpretation: 35 Marks
- Test of Hindi Language: 35 Marks
- Test of English Language: 35 Marks
- Basic Familiarity with computers, internet, social media, and office automation: 25 Marks
Additional Information:
- The questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English), except for Language papers.
- DSSSB reserves the right to change/amend the examination scheme if required.
- Minimum qualifying marks for the written examination (objective) are specified in sub-para iv of para 6 below.
- There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts.
- DSSSB reserves the right to cancel/withdraw/delete any question/questions from the Question Paper, and marks scored will be prorated out of the maximum marks.
- Negative marking applies, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong MCQ answer.
- Skill Test / Endurance Test will be conducted as per job requirements.
Normalization of Scores:
Candidate scores in the Computer Based Examination will be normalized using the formula specified in DSSSB Notice No. 10 (271)/Sec.Cell/DSSSB/18/989 dated 11.07.2018.
Invalid Questions:
If any questions are deemed invalid, they will not be evaluated. Marks will be calculated on a prorated basis out of the maximum marks.
Draft Answer Keys and Objections:
Draft Answer Keys will be displayed on the DSSSB website post-exam. Candidates can submit objections online within the specified time. Only objections submitted online will be considered.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
Minimum qualifying marks for different categories:
- General/EWS: 40%
- OBC (Delhi): 35%
- SC/ST/PH (PwD): 30%
- Ex-servicemen get 5% relaxation, subject to a minimum of 30%.
Merit Criteria:
In case of equal marks:
- Subject-specific section (Section-B) marks are considered first.
- If still tied, seniority in age takes precedence.
- If age is also equal, alphabetical order determines merit.
Final Selection:
Final selection is based on Tier-II Examination performance, post preferences, and eligibility per Recruitment Rules.
Post Allocation:
Once a candidate is allocated their first preference, no change is allowed. Preferences are final and irreversible.
Reserved Vacancies:
Reserved category candidates selected on merit won’t be adjusted against reserved vacancies. They will be placed in general/unreserved vacancies based on overall merit.
Persons with Disability (PwD):
A PwD selected on merit can be appointed against an unreserved vacancy if suitable for their disability category.
Provisional Selection:
Provisional selection does not guarantee appointment; suitability must be confirmed by the Appointing Authority through necessary inquiries.
Eligibility Conditions:
Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions for the desired department(s).
Admission Conditions:
Admission at all stages is provisional, subject to satisfying prescribed eligibility conditions. If found ineligible at any stage, candidature will be canceled.
