According to the CM, the state has over 1.90 lakh Anganwadi facilities, with over two crore registered beneficiaries. He stated that the Hot Cooked Meal Scheme would assist 80 lakh youngsters aged 3 to 6 years.
Adityanath told the Anganwadi workers and assistants present at the program, “Children are a form of God.”

The CM said that there had previously been many questions concerning nutrition initiatives. However, great progress has been made in the last 6-7 years: anemia in children has decreased, and significant progress has been recorded in underweight children, he stated, adding that the newborn mortality rate has also decreased.
He did, however, say that there was still potential for development. “Healthy children are the responsibility of not only the Women and Child Development department but also the Panchayati Raj and Urban Development department.”

According to the instructions, the Department of Child Development Services and Nutrition would give food grains and materials like pulses, vegetables, oil, spices, and so on for producing food under the new program.
A special emphasis is placed on cleanliness.
Anganwadi workers will be in charge of transporting food produced in primary school kitchens to Anganwadi centers and serving it to children. They will also be in charge of maintaining cleanliness.
This approach will also apply to Anganwadi centers within 200 meters of primary and upper primary schools. Anganwadi workers will also ensure that all utensils used in food preparation are clean and that all children’s hands are cleansed before and after meals.
