A. Mode of Selection (चयन की रीति):

The competitive examination for the post of Junior Personal Assistant (Hindi) will consist of two main components: the Hindi Shorthand Test and the Computer Test. Candidates are required to pass both tests.

Hindi Shorthand Test (हिंदी शॉर्टहैंड टेस्ट):

1. Dictation of Passage:
   • Duration: 8 minutes
   • Speed: 70 words per minute
   • Marks: 100
2. Transcription and Typing:
   • Duration: 70 minutes
   • Transcribe and type the dictated passage in Hindi on a computer.

Computer Test (Speed & Efficiency Test) (कंप्यूटर टेस्ट – गति एवं दक्षता परीक्षा):

1. Speed Test:
   • Duration: 10 minutes
   • Marks: 50
   • Minimum Qualifying Marks for SC/ST, PWD & Ex-Servicemen: 20
   • Minimum Qualifying Marks for all others: 22.5
2. Efficiency Test:
   • Duration: 10 minutes
   • Marks: 50
   • Minimum Qualifying Marks for SC/ST, PWD & Ex-Servicemen: 20
   • Minimum Qualifying Marks for all others: 22.5

B. Method of Conducting Shorthand Test (आशुलिपि परीक्षा के आयोजन की विधि):

1. The test will be called the Shorthand Speed Assessment Test.
2. Before dictating the final Shorthand passage, a trial passage will be dictated to maintain uniformity in speed.
3. After dictating the trial passage, the final passage will be dictated, followed by a 5-minute reading time for candidates.
4. Candidates must transcribe the passage on a computer.

C. Method of Conducting Speed & Efficiency Test (गति एवं दक्षता परीक्षा के आयोजन की विधि):

1. The language and font of the Computer Test shall be Hindi and “Kruti Dev 010”, respectively.
2. Minimum speed requirement: 8000 key depressions per hour on computer.
3. Efficiency test shall include formatting tasks on word processing software.

D. Method of Evaluation (मूल्यांकन की विधि):

1. Mistakes will be counted as full or partial mistakes, with deductions accordingly.
2. A margin of 5% mistakes may be allowed.
3. Marks for Stenography Test will be calculated using a specified formula.
4. Merit list will be prepared based on total aggregate marks obtained in both tests, with preference given to higher marks in the Shorthand Test and, if necessary, considering age for candidates with equal marks.
